Born in South Texas and raised with deep Mexican roots, Mel brings culture, creativity, and heart into everything she does behind the chair. Based in Austin, TX, she is a bilingual (English & Spanish) color and cutting specialist with a passion for vivids, personalized haircuts, and curly hair of all textures and lengths.

Mel began her professional cosmetology education in 2022 after years of hands-on experience and a lifelong love for hair. Her work is inspired by self-expression, individuality, and helping clients feel confident and seen. She is deeply committed to continuing education and staying current with techniques and trends as she grows her career.

She especially loves working with thick, dark hair, long hair, and anyone who’s ever been told their hair is “too much.” Mel believes every guest deserves an exceptional, judgment-free experience and takes pride in creating a safe, welcoming space where clients can truly be themselves.
